Latvia and Estonia agree on joint position on EU budget - (reviewed)

RIGA - At a meeting in Estonia yesterday, Latvian President Andris Berzins and Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves were of the same opinion on all the key matters that dealt with the European Union's multiannual budget
What actually are these "matters"? And how Baltic States sees them self in European Union?

Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite had also expressed a similar opinion in communication with Berzins previously, therefore during his visit to Brussels on Nov. 12 -13 Berzins will represent all three countries when talks will be held about the EU multiannual budget.

It is honor that Latvian president receives, yet interesting is all three Baltic states unite. Makes me to wonder what about one Baltic country? Could be a player in east region of Europe.

Berzins and Ilves agreed that the Baltic countries would pursue their joint goals in talks on the EU cohesion policy and direct payments to farmers.
Why it is that farmer can't live off without cohesion payments? Why the only self sustainable profession can not self sustain? Makes me think of economic of world.

Latvia has fulfilled the Maastricht criteria and meets all the other criteria for joining the euro area, Berzins told Ilves, who expressed support for Latvia's move to the eurozone.
Latvian lats already is pledged to Euro, so it wont give a huge difference on joining or not. But what strikes my mind is if Euro goes down, Latvia does too and then it is another loan. Have you noticed those incredible loans all countries over the world has? Why is so?

The presidents also discussed Visaginas nuclear power plant project, agreeing that the new Lithuanian government would have to express its opinion about the project.
This project is interesting from Russian government point of view. They will try their best to stop this. It's obvious to keep Baltic off energy freedom.

The sides were of the same opinion that all matters important for the Baltic States are of equal significance and cannot be altered or replace each other during the talks, LETA was informed by the Presidential Press Service.
At least something Latvia and Estonia has learned from past.

Berzins and Ansip discussed the latest regional developments in energy and agreed that the price of energy resources and benefit for consumers should be the main factor when supporting energy projects.
And how they think they will change the price? You can not say to a monopoly to lower the price. Or can you? -I want to see how, then..

The officials also emphasized the necessity for closer Baltic cooperation in education, especially in higher education.
I don't know whatever it is bad or good. If this is bad then it will only weaken the general IQ of society in all these countries, making it more easier to manipulate with electorate, like in USA (did you knew average American thinks it is possible to choose only between two candidates of president?)

If this is good one, then Baltic should implement a single language for them, because this is obvious already not a Latvian or Estonian language will survive much longer then few hundred years, maybe Lithuanian will. Anyhow, what do you think on should or should not three almost different cultures unite in one? This would strengthen Baltic, their politics on world stage, economics and military power capacity.

What do you think of these issues?
